Your guide to better navigating the complexity and stresses of modern Life.

About, v2

Who I Am

My name is Jill Lanier and I’m the Founder of Mindful Renaissance and Creator of the Mindful Renaissance Framework, a system for helping you to unlock your ability to shift your mindset and consciousness, in the face of an increasingly complex and stressful, modern world.

The various programs that I have created and lead really zero in on acknowledging and managing the everyday stresses we encounter as we go about our daily routines. Overtime they can gradually wear down your reserves so that when those big stressors come along you’re already running on an empty tank.

Urban settings are incredibly vibrant places, gathering and attracting a critical mass of highly creative people. pursuing similar interests. There is a great deal of energy and opportunity for collaboration and expression. But, at the same time, they can also be very stressful and exhausting places to live and work. For this reason, I created Stress Management Strategies for the “Creative” New Yorker with this population in mind.

Communities of color (particularly women) in addition to everyday stressors, also regularly encounter stress, in the form of unconscious bias, microaggressions and other discriminatory practices. I created Women of Color: Facing & Making Peace With the Four FOES of Racial Bias webinar to address the stressors arising out of such experiences for members of these communities.

The following two offerings—An Introduction to Mindfulness and Mindful Reset—introduce simple frameworks for relaxing and accessing the mindsets necessary to manage everyday stressors more effectively.

Credentials

I hold teacher training certifications in both mindfulness and meditation instruction, along with additional certifications in a variety of other holistic and regenerative paradigms, such as permaculture (Bio-regional), feng shui & eco-design (the Holis Institute) and regenerative design & entrepreneurship which enable me to view the associated issues of modern living in a cohesive way that gets right to the heart of managing stress.

Other Education & Training

I hold a BA in Psychology (Northeastern University, Boston, MA) as well as a Mental Health First Aid certification (City of NY) both of which equip me with insights into the workings of the mind from a scientific perspective.

I also hold masters degrees in Library Science (Pratt Institute, Brooklyn NY) as well as Management Information Systems (New York University, School of Professional Studies, New York, NY).

Why I’m Passionate About What I Do

If we are to successfully navigate today’s tumultuous times, we need all hands on deck to give and help each other get through.

But you can’t be who you’re meant to be or do what you’re meant to do, if you’re always stressed out, which I think is a terrible waste, and I want to help others to be able to contribute in making the world a better place for everyone!

The frameworks I offer through Mindful Renaissance help to address that.

and What Makes Me, Me

All of my programs are designed to help you “steep” these practices and strategies for doing this, into your day-to-day, almost like sipping a warm, soothing cup of tea.

However, one very easy way to get a sense of who I am and how I work, is to attend a complimentary Mindful Reset session.

You’ll immediately experience what it feels like to go from stressed out to calm. You’ll also learn how to build on and intentionally tap into your existing strategies for managing stress more effectively.

Either way, you’ll come away with a renewed sense of why it’s important to make time for and continue your commitment to mental wellbeing.
